About Me

Rebekah Pernell Photography: I love portrait photography. I love the process of capturing moments of emotion, expression and beauty and turning them into phycial representations of that moment in time. I grew up in the Northwest. I never realized how light there is nearly always filtered through clouds or trees and took for granted the lushness and overwhelming green everywhere you turn. Now that marriage and military have moved me far away from mountains and green into plains and gold I've found so many inspirations all around me. The sunsets are unmatched here. The rolling plains of golden grasses are magical and the many months of snow create opportunities (when I can stand the tempratures) for dramatic and crisp white vistas. When I am not looking at the world through my lens, I'm usually roaming the great state of South Dakota with my wonderful husband and two fantastic Italian Greyhounds
